Biography

Ivy Lee Fiebig is an artist with a background in architecture whose practice unfolds between space, nature, and technology. She studied architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts with a study year at Terreform ONE in New York (2011–2019). Since 2015 she has been developing site-specific and research-based projects, installations, and video works that explore atmospheres, symbiotic architectures, and the relationship between humans and their environment. Her work often combines immersive installations with performative elements, weaving together scientific inquiry and mythical narratives.
Her practice includes long-term collaborations such as ISOLATION (2015–2021, with Fabian Knecht) and HABITAT (2018, with Andreas Greiner), as well as solo cycles including IONIZER (2021) and Reeling of Disbelief (2024). Lee has exhibited internationally, with presentations at ARKEN Museum of Modern Art (Copenhagen), Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, the Bienal de Arte Contemporânea da Maia (Porto), MOM Art Space (Hamburg), Shaping Atmospheres at OCAD University Toronto, and in several solo exhibitions at Gallery Gudmundsdottir, Berlin, which has represented her since 2020.
She is a recipient of a Stiftung Kunstfonds fellowship (2022) and participated in the Sailing Art Residency The Language of the Sea. Her artistic research focuses on how atmospheres, natural phenomena, and ecological processes can be made perceptible — and how humans might reinsert themselves into the fragile fabric of the earth.
