Communications Internship —

Have you recently graduated and are you planning an Erasmus+ traineeship n 2026, looking to

gain hands-on experience in the contemporary art world?

 

Founded in 2020, Gallery Gudmundsdottir is an Icelandic gallery based in Berlin, presenting

contemporary art that bridges research-based practices and poetic sensibilities. Working primarily with artists from the Nordic region, the gallery is committed to art that engages with cultural and ecological questions.

 

We are looking for a motivated and curious graduate who enjoys taking initiative, thinking

strategically, and communicating creatively — someone with an eye for detail, a strong sense of tone, and the ability to bring ideas to life across digital platforms.

 

Your tasks

Support and develop the gallery’s communication and PR activities, including social media

and newsletters

Assist in the preparation and promotion of exhibitions, both in the gallery and off-site

Communicate with artists, partners, and collaborators

Support the day-to-day operations and rhythm of the gallery

 

What we’re looking for

You have recently graduated from a relevant field (e.g. Communications, Art History,

Cultural Management, or similar)

You speak and write fluent English (German is a plus)

You are organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently

You have a genuine interest in contemporary art and visual culture

This traineeship is offered on a part-time basis (approx. 25 hours/week) and is suitable for

candidates eligible for an Erasmus+ graduate traineeship, subject to approval by their home

university. Length of internship is negotiable.
